mellificent.... apparently you can get to Northrend without being level 70 (or 68). My death-knight - newly arrived in Azeroth from the starter area - decided to jump on the boat just to see what would happen. And what happened was that the boat took her to Northrend. Yawn.
My death-knight, incidentally, is a gnome. I felt like death-knights were wayyyy too serious and needed lightening up. And the best thing I could think of to lighten mine up was to make her look like a two-foot-tall goth Princess Leia. (Yup, she has the buns.)
